The Bardsley English Medium Senior Secondary School in Katni commenced in 1964, initially offering classes from K.G. to Class IV. Under the dedicated leadership of its founder, Mrs. Rachael Cooke, the institution gradually expanded its infrastructure and academic offerings, upgrading to a high school in 1989 and a Higher Secondary School in 1991-92. Since April 1st, 1998, it has been a full-fledged Senior Secondary school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The school is managed by the BECNIJD (Board of Education Church of North India Jabalpur Diocese), previously known as NDBE, and is a minority institution that does not receive government grants, relying solely on student fees. It aims for the integral formation of children through an all-round education encompassing liberal, technical, physical, moral, and spiritual aspects for all communities.
