About
Established in 1972 by SVD missionaries, Mahatma Gandhi Higher Secondary School Khurda began its journey with a vision to provide education to rural children in the Khurdi village of Indore District. What started as a primary school has since been upgraded to a higher secondary school, offering Arts and Commerce faculties up to Class XII, making it the sole institution of its kind in the immediate area. The school proudly introduced an English medium section, currently up to the 4th standard, alongside its primary Hindi medium instruction. It serves students from about 40 surrounding villages, emphasizing the creation of a culture of valuing education among the local population and providing essential facilities such as computer education.
