About
Shri Vama Shishu Vihar is situated at Mushakhedi in Indore and since 2004 has been dedicated to provide education to the "economically challenged" students of the area. Most students come from homes where both parents work to provide for their families, and children are often expected to help earn or assist with chores. Recognizing this, the school was established with a conscious decision to keep fees to a minimum, offering scholarships for those unable to afford them thanks to generous supporters. The school's initiative aims to establish good social values in students, helping them become responsible citizens capable of leading fulfilling lives. The director, Mrs. Sunita Dixit, initiated this effort in 2002 after noticing a lack of affordable, quality education for underprivileged children in the neighborhood, stemming from a family with 45 years of educational background and her own 20 years in teaching. The administration includes Mr. Vishnu Dixit as Principal, Mr. Santhosh Dixit as Trustee, and Mrs. Sunita Dixit as Director. The school is managed by a staff of 12 teachers and a helper.
